Nella cornice del Torino Comics abbiamo avuto la grande possibilità di intervistare Kristian Nairn, attore britannico celebre per il ruolo di Hodor in Game of Thrones, serie HBO tratta dai romanzi di George R.R. Martin. È anche noto per l’interpretazione di Wee John Feeney, pirata nella nuova serie Our Flag Means Death in streaming su HBO Max, rinnovata da poco per una seconda stagione.

Abbiamo atteso con emozione il momento dell’intervista, curiosi di sapere cosa avrebbe risposto alle nostre canoniche tre domande.

Hanno confermato la seconda stagione di Our Flag Means Death, parlaci un po’ della tua esperienza sul set. Ci puoi dare qualche anticipazione?

Abbiamo scoperto recentemente anche noi del rinnovo, agli attori lo hanno comunicato più o meno come per il resto del mondo, forse poco prima. Sono molto contento di tornare per fare la seconda stagione ed è stato molto divertente lavorare con Taika Waititi, è davvero una persona spassosa. Molto dell’umorismo della serie è improvvisato, quindi devi sempre essere pronto e sul pezzo.

Ci puoi parlare dei tuoi progetti musicali? Cosa rappresenta la musica per te?

La musica è molto importante per me, sono stato un DJ per 22 anni. È stato molto difficile durante il covid e sono molto contento di far uscire musica nuovamente e di tornare agli eventi musicali, ai DJ set. Perché prima ha rappresentato tutta la mia vita, ho un sacco di nuova musica da pubblicare.

Cosa ti lascia senza niente da dire?

Le persone che non credono nell’uguaglianza per tutti mi lasciano senza parole.

Three Questions to Kristian Nairn, between music and pirates

During the last Torino Comics, we had the great chance to interview Kristian Nairn, British actor known for his role of Hodor in Game of Thrones HBO television series, an adaptation from the books written by George R.R. Martin. He’s now famous for his new role of Wee John Feeney, pirate from the HBO Max series Our Flag Means Death, recently renewed for a second season.

We were excited to interview him, curious of his possible answers to our classic ‘three questions’ format.

The second season of Our Flag Means Death has been confirmed, can you tell us a little more about your experience on the set? Can you make any anticipation?

We only just found out recently about the renewal. We were told about it like the rest of the public, maybe some moments before. It was really fun to work with Taika Waititi, he’s a really fun man. A lot of the humor in the series is improvised, so you have to be ready. I’m really happy to come back for the second season.

Can you tell us more about your musical project? What does music represent to you?

Music is really important for me, I’ve been a DJ for 22 years. It was really difficult during the covid pandemic and I’m happy to publish new music and to come back to musical events and DJ set. Because it represents all my life, I have a lot of new music to publish.

What leaves you speechless, without nothing to say?

People who don’t believe in equality for all leave me speechless.
